La La Land

La La Land

La La Land is a 2016 American romantic musical comedy-drama film written and directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, John Legend and Rosemarie DeWitt. The plot follows a musician and an aspiring actress who meet and fall in love in Los Angeles.

The film's title is a reference both to a nickname for the city of Los Angeles and to the idiom for being out of touch with reality. The film received widespread acclaim from critics and has grossed $85 million worldwide. It was chosen by the American Film Institute as one of the top ten films of 2016,[4] and won the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Picture.
